Oldy goldy for me lol. Hope this post helps you.

I had a few issues on the truck.

Having quite a lot of miles I did some preventive on it just to ensure all operation good.

Adjusted the pedal, but that did not help. Found that the pedal had the dreaded plastic bushing issue and had wear at the spring. Fixed that using the bronze bushing technique. Smooth operation as per factory now.

Found a leaking slave cylinder so decided to replace the slave and did a clutch hose (blistered outer skin found when rubbed hand along the hose) and did the clutch master. Pieces not that expensive and felt better having all new.

Drove that a few weeks to ensure operation and then changed the clutch myself along with some seals that were leaking back at the transfer case. Followed various online how to postings and the manual. Grunt of a job even with a transmission jack, well for being an old xxxx. Cured the whirring sounds I was getting.

Clutch works fine now. Old one had a bearing problem by my estimation as clutch itself did not look too bad. Instant noise gone with new clutch in.

While I was there I did the vents up by the shifters and put in the upgraded bushings from marlin. Fluid in gearbox changed to redline.

Think the redline fluid had a lot to do with smoothing out the shift when cold. Now not as bad and box is smoother/less notchy going through the gears.

    Hope that helps.

I also went through all of that. New master/Slave. Still terrible pedal. I have a bad squeak when I hit the pedal, which I believe is the crappy spring on my 95. The grinding sound I hear when it's in gear, I believe to be the throwout bearing.

The truck is currently in the shop getting a new clutch. Possibly have him do the main seal while he's in there. I'd much rather do my own work, but I don't have a garage, so it's a real pain unless it's summertime.

I recently bought a 95 Tacoma and when I bought her it seemed the clutch was bad. So replaced it. Still clutch issues so replaced the slave cylinder. The peddle doesn't seem to have any pressure behind it even thou I did a gravity bleed and a pressure bleed.. I have same issue with the peddle that it won't stay it. Now going to replace master cylinder. Hope this fixes this on going issue..
