clutch question

    Im just wondering at what milage did you change your clutch? I have 209,000 miles and still on the stock clutch.

    You obviously know how to drive a manual correctly. Im at 160,000 on what I believe to be the stock clutch. (bought at 146,000)

    Just changed my clutch yesterday at 173,000 and it was down to the rivits.

    Change it when it wears out. Test it by parking the truck with the bumper against a concrete wall or barrier or a tree and put it in 5th gear. Let the clutch out slowly. If the clutch is good, the truck should stall. If the clutch is bad or starting to go bad, then the clutch will slip a little bit then the truck will stall, or the truck will keep running.

    Do this test only occasionally though, otherwise it will ruin your clutch. It is very effective though.

    hahaha not all of us have steel plated arb tank bumpers, my plastic one seems to scratch easily :p ill stick with pressing the brake.

    3 in Ultimate ToyTec, set @ 2.5 in. AAL PINCH Weld Mod ( beat the pinch weld over inside the fender) Painted the pinch weld on bottom of cab Black Hi Lift Knock off
    The test I use for the clutch is to get the truck moving slow ~5 mph in 3rd without it lugging and then floor the accelerator if the truck slowly accelerates you are good. If it revs up quickly the clutch is gone

    Deck plate mod, intake silencer removed, AFE Pro Dry S Air Filter, debadged, Goodyear Duratracs 265/75R16. Flowmaster knock-off muffler!
    198k on mine so far, had the truck since 49k. no clutch replacement yet.
