I have a 2004 Tacoma TRD 4WD with 97,000 miles. The engine light comes on very seldom. It came on on Oct. 2 for about 8 miles, Nov 15 for about 6 miles (my daily commute to work), and this past Tuesday Jan. 4 for 12 miles. "Code P0031 Oxygen sensor heater control circuit low" came up at Advanced yesterday. Should I not worry about this yet since the light is not constant and is so seldomly on? Is the computer correcting itself and that is why the light goes off? Is the sensor going bad and not completly shot yet?
    Any insight would be appreciated!

I'm having the same issue. What I don't understand is that it would do it after the truck is already warm. Why would you get a sensor heater code when the truck is already hot?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The AFR (front O2 sensor) has a heating element in the sensor. The element is probably bad. To correct it you should replace the sensor. Use the OEM sensor brand Denso.
