love my badlands. it is slower than warns, and overheats after a ton of use but it's more than saved my butt a few times

i was using a friends cheapo bender, then started using a jd2 bender. when i get moved in i'll more than likely end up purchasing a jd2.

What about a regular hause fairlead instead of the rollers? And can u put a synthetic rope on it? Not sure if those 2 things are dependent on the winch or not.

Was hoping you'd say you found a cheap bender too Haha. JD2's are nice tho!

oh sorry totally forgot about that. you can't hawse without synth line. of course you can add those both, but just make sure you do both!

JDs are pretty cheap.. ~$500 and you've got yourself a bender that'll last. my buddy picked up his already with an air ram for $200 on CL. brand new, never used.
the dies are what get expensive!

Right on, was just reading that syn line isn't winch specific. Wasn't sure on that. I knew about running both tho syn line and hause.

Ya I should watch CL a little closer for one. Would come in use so many times I think! Haha.

    Thanks for the info!

yeah i hear ya. i've had a ton of people requesting tube doors or fab work but i can't do anything until i get my bender! though my tube doors don't have a bend, the new design i have in mind does.
    no prob!

Did you end up having to trim your grill at all for the badlands/ TG bumper set up?

Such a sick truck. Love that you stuck with it through all that trouble rather than quit. What a true tacoma owner is made of. Keep it up man looking good. Also really impressed with your rear axle swap. I was thinking about doing it myself but had no idea how to or if it was possible. Then I found your thread. Nice job

Thanks! The axle swap was cake. Seriously, direct bolt up. Making the elocker harness took the longest.

My list of things to do before the Oct trip:

    - Start the bed cage.
    - add more to my sliders
    - MOAR LEDS!
    - maybe new tires.

that means it's going to have a rear cage before the SAS. dumb? possibly considering that i'm going to basically chop the frame off after the cab and start fresh when i SAS. but it will give me an excuse to use my (upcoming!) new bender and roller.

Are you going to link the rear? I would consider not building the bed cage yet.. It'll save you money and time!
