^it's true. The tank is rather pathetic right now. The pic below was last time I went to see her. Look at all the dust.

Shit... that's clean as hell compared to mine. Too lazy to wipe the mud off the inside most of the time since it normally looks exactly the same after the next trip

I can't believe I read through this whole thing. What a journey.

Do you have any links or advice on tubbing the fire wall and fenders? After reading through hundreds of pages of build threads I have decided I eventually want to SAS my baby but in the meantime if I can fit 33's or larger with no lift I would love that... Keep my C.O.G. lower and not invest $2-3k into an IFS lift only to invest more for the SAC later.

Cut more than you think and keep a fire extinguisher near by when welding.

    Back, again.
Work is finally slowing down it seems. Haven't traveled since earlier in the year so I got an apartment in West Nashville... already regretting not having a garage of my own. I'm sure all the residents think I'm nuts since half my apartment is tools. I could do a storage unit but I hate not having tools I need when I need them.
Got the tank out of storage and drove it and parked it at the apartments. It kind of an upscale area and it was funny listening to everyone talk about this "giant mud truck" that is just chilling in the parking garage.
I drive a lot of high end cars and have the choice to practically drive whatever I want when I want but I'll be 100% honest I'd rather drive my truck. It puts the biggest smile on my face.

Drove the truck to our company vacation house about hour south of my apartments - I don't DD my truck anymore so I wanted to start working on it and fix the long list of misc fixes and maintenance.
I parked it knowing it had a leak from when I had to tub my firewall but I had no idea it was as bad as what it was. Mold was on all the cloth. I've stripped the whole thing excluding the dashboard itself. It's been such a process to strip, bleach, scrub, and clean everything. Pics will come of some of this. Seriously, it's been the last 3 weeks of nothing but cleaning.

They will be back soon. I'm starting up a blog for all my shenanigans I get into and will be hosting all my pics from there instead of facebook. Just give it time. Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll fix all the broken links, ugh such a pain in the ass considering I've done this twice already.

Sucks about the mold. I daily drove my tacoma without carpet for 2yrs because i left the back cab window open at work and it rained inside and the temp spiked to 90* right after it stopped and it was mold city. Had to trash the carpet, but luckly the seats were fine. Good luck cleaning that mess!

It's already good and clean and now sealed. I kept the carpet out because i had on my tube doors 90% of the time so I lucked out there. But the seats were a disaster.

I've got my server up and going and am currently migrating everything and going through my old pics to find the broken ones here. This is a process... anyone want to do it for me? ha

Here's some fresh pics. Got it back together and leak free(finally) thanks to some metal adhesive and flex seal. Also popped the dent on my driver quarter out a little bit. It's good to have the tank back together

The maiden voyage. Took it out to get a full tank of gas. Noticed I don't have any interior lights either with all fuses fine. Add that to the fix list(which is pretty damn long as is. Maybe i should post it)

ah thanks man! that's cool :)
I could never let her go, just glad to be driving her around. I'd rather drive the tank than the other exotic and luxury cars i've been driving. Just something about the tank i love and can't get past! she'll continue to receive much needed love over the next few months.
