finally got to wheel! they went soooo well and i had to hook on and pull everyone else atleast once. everything was pure slop since it's been raining for the last few days. by the end of the day my truck was sitting about 4" lower from all the mud.
not too many pics of my own truck here, hoping everyone else maybe got a few? check first post for link to more pics.

also after driving around on 37's on my 4.3 gearing, i think i may regear before my SAS.
I may go ahead and bite the bullet on 5.29(my original plan) and lock the front at the same time. then when i start my sas around the fall i will sell those off.

Those tires look huge with all that mud on there! How was the rubbing while flexing and turning?

Build is coming along nicely! Loving the 37's.

A couple weekends ago I took a trip to West Virginia to go four wheeling (atv's) in the snow and we stopped to eat in town and I saw this guy outside. I took a picture to post in here because I thought it was pretty funny that you wheel with one in your bed!

    you're next, right man?! :)

i forgot to tub the upper fenderwells so every now and then those would rub a little, but other than that only the front rubbed at full lock.
oh and apparently i didn't cut enough out of the back fenders and i must have overflexed because it bent in the fenders a little, and happens to be in the shape of a tire :D

thanks man. haha yeah that's great, i'm always having people stop and talk to me about him. this is the second one i've had.. the first was stolen by a "friend" after he cut my $20 ratchet straps.. a hole.
this ones names is henry :D

i think Silas mentioned this earlier, but if i'm locked in the front theoretically it would take 100% stress off one CV and distribute between the 2 at 50% each, right?

no. No matter what, the side with the most weight on it has the most load. Locked or not.

Nooo... I said locking the front end can help diminish broken spider gears from spinning tires you get form an open diff... Locker puts more stress on the CVs. My point was that you would rather have a CV axle break on a trail, than a spider gear...
    For the most part...

Only when locked, does the side with most weight also have the most load. Unless both tires can maintain traction, an unlocked front end will force more power to the tire with less weight... So it'd actually be hovering around 50/50 stress distribution for an unlocked diff, no?

No in an open the power goes to the wheel with the less load so if one isn't moving then the other is getting 100% or so of the power..so really it's variable and constantly changing I'd think. But I guess if you going over a flat surface and strait it would be 50-50

The stationary tire is getting almost 100% power, yes... but I was talking about stress. It wouldn't be exactly 50/50 but (not accounting for sudden traction) it seems like it'd always hover around there... I guess I shouldn't use 50/50... what I mean is that both axles wil have aproximately the same amount of stress on them. when one tire has all the weight and one tire is just spinning with no traction, both axles essentially have very little stress placed on them. Definately variable when considering different amounts of tracion though.. But never close to 100% stress until a spinning tire finds instant traction. and that's when the axle goes pop. :D

Just like when I tried to throttle up that little hill on Hells Revenge, unlocked... throttle, bounce, tire spin, instant traction, BOOM.
