What coil overs did you decide to go with? Do you go off road much?
what kind of terrain do you ride?

I am thinking the Icons. I have not done much offroading however I want to be able to take my truck wherever the hell I want and still be fully functional and comfortable.

ICON's are a good choice... priced not too bad. They will work awesome off road as well, they come preset at 2.5" of lift so if you want 3" you will need to buy the coil over wrench, its not supplied...

The Light Racing Coilovers are the same as ICON. LR just slaps their name on the ICONS

Icon Coil-overs, TC UCA, with Bilstein 5150 and Icon 3 leaf pack. 17" Moto Metal 951 4.5" Backspacing wrapped in 285/70/17 BFG AT's. Demello front bumper and Avid offroad sliders.
Those coil overs look nice. I wonder how much lift they provide.

with the Icons I hear you can adjust them with the spanner wrench when they are installed. do you have to adjust them in exact increments of 2.5, 3.0, 3,5 or can u do 2.75 or even 3.25 whatever you may want. Also if you adjust them when installed will that mess with your alignment ???

its a threaded body, so you can turn the pre-load nut any amount you want.

You should look at Camburg too for Coilovers...

As far as being rebuildable are the Icons Camburgs or Toytecs? I've been leaning towards getting the icons, but if there is something that makes one of them, lets say "better" than the others I can be swayed.

I don't like the IVD stuff -- nothing against the product... just don't like how they screwed Leeper over... seems crappy in my mind...

I've got camburgs and I think they're great. I can't speak to the performance of Icon or Toytec C/Os...

3" ToyTec coilover lift on Bilstein 5100s, Total Chaos UCAs, ToyTec diff drop, Scangauge II, 4D MagLite mounted on the drivers seat, Painted engine cover, Painted calipers (red), Painted skid plate (red) Valentine 1 radar detector hard wired, Damplifier Pro on the floor, back wall and doors, Luxury Liner Pro on the floor and doors, Kenwood DNX8120, 2 Pioneer TS-SW1041D 10" shallow mount subs, 2 Pioneer PRS-D4200F 1200W amps, Mr Marv sub enclosure, Hybrid Audio Clarus 6.5" components in the front doors, Alpine 5.25" coaxials in the rear doors, A.R.E. LSII fiberglass tonneau cover, All Pro bumper, All Pro sliders, Wet Okole seat covers, Sockmonkey Mountain badges, PIAA 510 SMR Driving Lights, Warn M8000 Winch, Bud Built skids
To answer the last part of your question, if you adjust the coilovers any amount after an alignment, you'll need another alignment because you're changing your suspension geometry.
