Stock intake is cold air already.

Most aftermarket add noise and nothing else.

Welcome, do a search and find many, many threads on this topic.

she asked about intakes yes but we will all try our best to tell her they are not worth it.

I was simply stating to use the money elsewhere.

But if she MUST get one I recommend keeping the stock box and using an AFE dry flow filter drop in.

    tacomaluv,

Toyota and most auto manufacturers are getting almost all of the cheap horsepower and milieage out of today's engines. Variable timing dual overhead cams, computer controlled engines monitoring every aspect of opertion. Horsepower gains for dollars spent are going to be small and EXPENSIVE. Aftermarket intake and exhaust systems will provide only a modest performance gain for your money. Yes, power can be had, but it will be expensive. Figure at least $100 a horse.
