Agreed that heavy off road is a big deal.

I'd have to question that statement. I've driven a MT for almost 40 years. I don't shift by noise. In fact, I usually shift without even realizing I'm doing it. Even with the radio turned up. I see no value in making more engine noise for a MT.

The Taco, 3rd gen, is not gonna be a stand out on the drag strip. Would 10 hp help when out on the trails?

I have driven this truck on the street and the highways. Sure a little more hit off the bottom would be great, however, honestly I never feel it lacking off road.

    Swiggity swangin' biggity bangin'
So there is a relatively easy way to put all of this to the test:

    1. Buy as many CAI as you can afford, or use those that people are willing to donate to you.

    2. Install and run each on a dyno in the same day on the same dyno to keep the variables as unchanged and constant as possible.

    3. Post each dyno log with pertinent corresponding notes and intake used.

    4. Settle this shit once and for all.

    5. Be the hero of TW.

The previous owner installed a Brute Force CAI on my Jeep TJ. Sounds great. I plan to get rid of it on CL and dumbass kids will be lining up to pay me.

that's like, your opinion, man. you don't have to agree or drive like me. or have value for the noise, or whatever. i shift by feel (vibrations, speed, and moving forces), and noise. you drive however you like.

This is a huge community compared to many other forums I frequent. I'm surprised there hasn't been anyone who's actually dyno'd before and after intake.

That's because it's a waste of money. The HP gain at WOT is within the margin of error of the dyno.

Thank you for your helpful comment. You seem like a happy person. The reason I asked about it because the website makes it seem like its just a Cold air intake, I was wondering why use the words " fuel injection" when it appears to have nothing to do with the fuel injectors. Are they just specifying that its designed for fuel injected cars only? I don't think that's a crazy stupid question
