So since I am avid camper and overland enthusiast I decided I would try a new axe. My last axe was left in the woods with a little bit of alcohol persuasion at a camping bonfire trip. Doing some research I found a bunch of really expensive axes and then some really cheap axes. I want to get the best bang for my buck so I went to the world of youtube and started looking at reviews. After a quick search I found that wrangler star, someone who I have been watching for years, did a review of the Cold Steel Trail boss axe. The Review is in the link below and I will let you make your own opinion about it. All I can say is that this review made me feel comfortable buying an axe. Cheap enough that if you leave it behind you won't be mad but strong enough to handle the woods for all of us that don't need it more than 20 times a year.

    Heres the review!

You can buy the axe here for $25

I also got this sharpening puck for $9

    And this file for $8
    https://www.amazon.com/Nicholson-06...rd_wg=Kw09l&psc=1&refRID=60W3V8C3ETG6HGQWZ1SC

Total for axe and everything is less than $45

I got the axe and had a few beers and got bored so out came the dremel with a $6 flap wheel, some 220 grit sand paper, some kona wood stain, and some masking tape and went to work.

Below are the pictures. I love this axe and it is cheap! Thought I would let you all know about it!

p.s. I am doing another coat of stain to get it a little darker but you guys get the point

Update, the kona stain is supposed to stay on for about ten minutes if you want a dark wood color

Did you end up with a sheath? If so, which did you opt for?

I actually couldn't find a sheath for it but Im sure some axe sheath would fit. I have a sister in law that makes leather handbags and wallets so I gave her the axe and she came up with a simple leather sheath for it.
