what recourse do i have here, note that this is on the tow rig and not the taco but still. I let colony tire put on a new set of tires on my old wheels, afterwards the truck handled terribly and shook like it had just seen a spook. took it back they said my wheels were bent, i took it back insisting there was more than that, they took it to their industrial location where they said my wheels were bent and the balance was way off, i took it to pughs tire to confirm the wheels were bent and they said yes. bought new wheels let colony tire put them on, they said that they mounted them then took it to the industrial location to balance, my wheels are scratched and dented, not even tiny scratches huge guages and and area is scratched so bad it aint funny! they also claim they didnt drive the truck but now my 2wd truck with a brand new paint job on the bed looks like someone had a damn joy ride on a dirt road. any recourse on what cations i can take? hell they charged my ass 35 to mount and 75 to balance!

if they scratched the wheels they have to pay u or replace the wheels but if they lie youre going to have to take them to court

I'm on 3 different forums for different vehicles and I see this same thread ALL THE TIME. I baby the hell out of my vehicles and rarely trust them to other people.

That being said, this issues do get resolved (I look for some of the other threads to give you an idea of what it takes).

I would start by talking to the owner, or manager, and just explain what happened without getting pissed (as I would get) and hopefully they can resolve it without issue. If that fails, bring up that you're willing to go to court on it because you know it was their fault. If you have recent pictures of your wheels not damaged and then after pictures, that'd be solid.

Once they hear about court, that can sometimes sway their decision, otherwise that's your recourse, as Burgman said. Best of luck, keep TW updated.

i dont have pictures of the wheels because they were brand spankin new in the box, but all of them look like they were dropped on the wheel itself and have markings where "the claw grabbed" it. i have delt with the manager and its a constant circle so i emailed corprate

Good that you're on it already. A phone call might go a bit faster though, emails never seem to get answered in a timely manner when you aren't giving them money.

If your talking about the colony tire in greenville by the hooters, yes, they suck. they did the same shit to my wheels when i bought tires from them. scratched them all to hell and overtightened the shit out of my lug nuts. i'd be fussin their asses out asap....next time try brileys over there by golden corral...they are a lot better to work with.

Any reaction to your e-mails or phone call that you made a while back?

This sucks dude, sorry you have to deal with this crap. This is why I am so nervous and hesitant picking shops...too many lazy jokers who don't care about other people's property.

I would recommend filing a dispute with the BBB also - hammer the shit out of them on there.

talked to the district manager and had them pay to take it to a local mom and pop shop, the front 2 tires had over 1lb of unneeded weights throwing off the balance, all 6 tires were inflated to 100lbs, 3 of the 4 rears had bad tire hop written on them and 3 of the 4 rears were more oval than round shaped, colony bought me 4 new tires from universal and cut me a check for 80 dollars
