    just to put it out there, apparently it is not recommended to refinish the chromed plastic grill. my go-to paint guy did not want to touch it and said that no matter what prep or agents are used, it will be susceptible to chipping, especially on the front of the vehicle.

    best bet is to order the grille new and already painted from Toyota, IMO.

    i ordered my grille last week from toyotapartsbarn for 180-something shipped.

    make sure you input your VIN and note in the comment box what you are trying to do no matter where you order to make sure you get the exact grille you want.
