    Just a few minor things.
So I've had my truck for just over three months and absolutely love it. Just one problem... CHROME. I can not stand the massive amounts of chrome. I can handle a little, like Tacoma badges and grille emblem. I've already replaced the chrome grille with a color-matched one and removed some of the badging. Now I just need to get rid of that obnoxious rear bumper. So now for my question... where is the best place to get a color-matched one and what kind of money am I looking at spending? Thanks in advance for any and all input.

I had the same thought process. I have a 06 DCSB in dark blue. I took my chrome bumper off the truck and removed all rubber pieces and sandblasted it. Sanded it down further with fine grit sand paper. Then professionally primed and painted. I have had it done for over a year with no problems. It can be done...

PARTSTRAIN.COM has very inexpensive bumpers in black "primer". They're Chinese. I had one on the front of my old, first gen. It didn't cost very much at all!

I just got a quote yesterday to have mine powdercoated - $190.

Anyone else have a chrome bumper powerdercoated? If so, how has it held up. The shop I got the quote from said they do not strip the chrome completely...they just blast it enough to clean it and rough it up.

I had the same idea with mine. I hate chrome and stopped by the body shop I've used in the past. They wouldn't even consider painting it since it was chrome? So I suppose that leaves me sanding it down and doing it myself or getting a AllPro bumper.

Thanks for all the input. PlastiDip is not an option for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the stuff. Great for small jobs like badges and emblems, but not my bumper. I'd love something a little more durable. Thank you Lurkin for posting that thread. Now I just need to find one. I'd love a color-matched bumper to match my grille. And I'd like a brand new one. I'm all about saving money, but I'll drop some coin if it means newer, higher quality items. I've also considered one of these. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/281927-fab-four-rear-bumper.html I love the way it looks and the fact I would still be able to use my hitch.
