The RCI armor package and sliders look great, this may be the way I end up going.
Now, I just have to figure out a way to come up with the scratch without pissing the little wife off, lol....

Well as far as the sliders tell her they are steps for her to get into the truck easier..that is if she is on the short side...:D or they are good for protecting your beloved truck from shopping carts and or inconsiderate people and their doors :)

My wife has been through a couple of build and if I say something is for her, she'll just laugh and say "nice try"

Indeed, it always the hardest part of the build, lol....

I'm getting ready for some sliders and armor. I'll give them a call when I have some more funds hidden from the wife.

Better to ask what I have not done.
sounds good! we just got skid plates built for the ifs on my truck and will be doing the rest when we get some time. and can give people some prices on sliders or skids when they are ready, and i can build them out of steel and aluminum.

Anyone have suggestions on a decent welder in the south Denver/Littleton area? I have some newly purchased sliders that need to be welded on my 1st gen.

I'm not sure of that area, but There's InSainFab in Thornton who does that.

Down south I think of High Country 4x4

On Radio I hear advertisment for some new place but no idea name or where in Littleton they are. Maybe someone here as better recall then I do.

    Thanks for the quick replies!

    Sean-
I was actually checking out insainfab this morning, just didn't want to travel up north if I didn't have to.

    Steve-
High Country is extremely close to me, can't believe I didn't consider them before asking!

Yeah, I was biking by on Platte river trail Saturday and did a quick drive by, Equal Tacoma and Jeeps in parking lot. Way too many people in there to talk to them.

I'll have to give them a call and see what they price it at. I'd read mixed reviews online about their service, but I can't image welding sliders on is a very daunting task for a 4x4 shop.

Had Jake at Adventure Off-Road weld my sliders on last Friday. He did an awesome job with the welds and was a great person to meet. If anyone is looking for a quality fab guy in southwest Denver he is the man to get a hold of.
