Anyone know of a shop around Denver that could pull off my tires, paint/powder coat the stock wheels, and put them back together and on the truck? Hoping to find an all in one spot as it’s not convenient for me to take the wheels/tires off and get them in to a shop somewhere.. TIA

A tire shop with a powder coat machine?
I suppose it could exist. :D
You'll most likely need 4 donor wheels and tires to get this done.

Yea… I knew it was a long shot. Really trying to avoid the donors but might have no choice. Thanks for confirming I’m stuck with these OR wheels a bit longer haha

You can always do the deck of cards trick and spray them yourself.

How beat up are they? Or do you just want another color?

I did think about that. Maybe like a plasti dip type application but I worry about longevity.
I was just going to black them out. Don’t have the steady hands or the patience to apply vinyl and think it would last 2 weeks. No damage, they are in great shape, dislike the chrome mostly.

Someone sells the vinyl cut outs to cover just the machined silver sections… is that too hard to put on?

    here’s one of many options:

I've been impressed with how well Plasti-dip holds up on tool handles. They don't get treated with kid gloves, just leather gloves and a concrete floor.
I would think a set of wheels would be fine. The way that stuff self levels, should look good.

highly recommended shop in Bozeman did the replacement. They have been great as we navigate the unending saga.

it’s a used engine. 120k. Warrantied, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t super annoying.

AAA said they had a tow coming and then an hour and a half later said they had no tow, suggested calling the hwy patrol.

anyhoo we got a tow coming. Are headed to houska automotive in Fort Collins unless someone says don’t go there!!!!

That's a Tundra on the right with an AT Atlas and that other Tundra looks like a TOPO topper or similar, cheaper, newer popup company.

    Not I. I'm not a mod, I still own a Tacoma… :boink:

Some reason I thought you had a tundra too. It’s an Oru camper on the left, I recall someone talking about them in here.

Anyone want to do a mod day where we all just reboot our CVs?

We could share the good tools and maybe get a quantity discount on the OEM boot replacement kits.

They are different CVs and boots, but the process is the same. Remove boot, get old grease on everything, clean, install new boot and grease, crimp clamps.
