Nice - light racing good enough or should I just put out a bit more for uniballs? I would probably go icon.

I want to just go straightto 35s when I get tires, what will that take to squeeze them in, and can you make room for a 35" spare under the bed? Oh and I'm not a fan of spacers.

35s takes alot,of cutting..... ask boband eric about that. id say stick with the 285s.... but light racing are ok... i personally would rather have a uniball. everyone has their own opinions....

Anyone have any experience with built right uca's? I read a bunch of stuff on that thread, but just wondering of any of you local guys have had them or wheeled with someone who did. They look like they would be just fine since the major reasons for getting uca's are to fix alignment issues and get more travel from the uni ball. If these are no good, I figure a guy would want to go with the uca with the largest uni ball, which I think is camburg, with a 1.25 inch ball. Icon and TC both use a 1".

So we got a 4 day weekend because of the holiday tomorrow, a lot of people went home, I chose to stay. I think we may have another 4 day break for Columbus day next month. If that's the case, which I'll find out soon, we can plan a meet and greet/trail run that weekend?

So far liking my Light Racing UCA's. I got a feeling I am going like them more this winter too when they are nice and quiet unlike a uniball. :p

See I like hearing that because they are way cheaper, and maintenance free!

Would love to hear from more people before I pull the trigger.

Regardless both are a wear part so they will eventually fail. Uniballs are awesome no doubt. I went LR because I like the adjustability of the ball joint. I like that it is sealed with grease so it will stay quiet in the elements. I do actually like that it is a self contained unit that I can buy a spare of and fix easily on the trail and have no need for an alignment later. But these are my opinions and are just me thoughts. But time will tell. I run a lot of trails with Bob and Jace who both have uniball UCA's. Jace installed his the day before mine. So we actually have a good wear test between our two trucks. It will be interesting to see which fair best over time.

You mean you will buy a whole extra set of uca's to replace, or just the ball joint? I'm assuming just the joint. So you can't just replace a uni ball on the trail?

I will most likely pick up one ball joint ($75) from them to carry with me. Also need to pick up a steering Tie Rod as well to keep in the tool box. I already have 2 CV's and a U Joint (need to get another one of those).

I've been meaning to get some extra parts like that to keep on hand in the truck. I need to see how much those particular parts cost, unless you remember roughly.
