I was under the impression that was included in the "Lube, Oil, and Filter" service that they put on the service ticket when you get an oil change at the dealer.

invest in a nice grease gun and some grease...takes a few minutes on your back and you can get all the zerks filled

i do it myself every oil change...sometimes more if i'm down there anyway

edit: read you already taking the steps...

I dont think i am, i just want to know how to do it myself so that i wont have issues down the road. Id like to pick some of your brains to see what general maintenance you do when doing oil changes lets say

While doing an oil change you

    change oil
    grease zerks on drive shaft
    ?
    ?
    ?

    Thanks!

Preciate the info! (This is my first truck and first vehicle that I'm really attempting to do a good bit of work on myself, so I'm going to look up specifically which bolts those are, however I assume they are the large ones that were previously covered by the stock "skid plate"??)
I'm looking Very forward to the next meet to finally put a face with the names/trucks, but also to pick your brains on this sort of info to try and avoid as many issues down the road as possible..

Thanks Travis! We definitely need to get together soon for a run.. although I must say I DO kinda like the "Non-CO Pinstriping Look" :D
I'm very interested to see how your skids turn out in person..

    X2

Thanks! It seems happier now..

I don't know what county that is, but you'd probably have to be on that county for a few years and then apply to to that specialty unit.

I know Ouray has a couple FJ's that you get to play in the mountains with! I was up on Yankee Boy Basin when they were doing a mountain rescue. It was cool.

Clear Creek County has some pretty decent mountain rescue stuff. They have a mountain rescue swat type unit, that would be cool!!
