True. the old tire is 10ish years old with unknown miles on it since it came used with the bike. I figured if I burn through this new one by end of summer I'll celebrate my health and time spent outdoors instead of mourning the tire.

I've thought about grabbing a second wheel set so I can swap out for road riding but 15mi a week on pavement is probably gonna last me a while yet.

Ah, yeah. That new knobby should be fine. I thought you were riding a bunch more - that would wear out the knobby quickly. Small price to pay for some fitness.

Nah ATM I get out and ride 5-8 mi 2x a week around the hood and if I'm lucky I go to Phillip S Miller or Bayou Gulch for an hour or two once or twice a month.

Someday I'll live somewhere where I can hit the MTB trails more regularly. It would be nice to do it on weekdays

I was imagining this exact license plate after we talked about "Native" stickers the other day.

I just bought an old tool chest (a nice Napa-branded unit from the '70s) this week. The guy selling was downsizing to move back to Texas. "Isn't it weird to see somebody move back?" he said.

Sounds like the front suspension on a Tacoma.

Probably. Hard to hear it over the creaks, squeaks, and groans.
It's never been silent since I lifted it.
