Easier than spinning reels in my opinion. These reels are always getting splashed by a saltwater and sand mixture so I tend to service these particular ones 3-5 times a year depending on how much I get out. Nothing quite like the sound of the gears crunching sand.

I'm optimistic so I charged both boat batteries and put gas in both boats so I'm almost ready to go if the weather/water is nice enough to head out. I still need to do a couple of things on each boat to be 100% ready to go, but at least now I don't have to worry about gas or batteries.

We start in the rivers vertical jigging plastics and hair jigs. Things will be kinda ugly on the rivers that flow from the north, probably will be dealing with floods. A couple rivers in the southern part of our state might be better options. I usually give a few jigs away to some buddies but haven't ever sold very many. They usually go for $2-$2.75 ea.

Good stuff, not a ton of people do this anymore. I tie flies and bucktails as well. Started making some side money off the flies a couple years ago.

That was also a thing waiting for me when I got home from work. I heeded the warning and cleaned up a little bit.

It’s amazing how far they have come with big tiller motors.
When I was growing up if you had a 40 tiller you had a crowd around you every time you launched.
