Well i was looking around for a subwoofer solution for my 2001 DoubleCab and came across a Boss 8" amplified low profile subwoofer I found it on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Boss-BASS600-Low-Profile-Amplified-Subwoofer/dp/B000OSZA44

Has anyone on here ran this in their truck?

I've never really seen these around much so I was wondering if i could get some feedback on sound quality and other things. And does anyone know if i can run two of these at the same time. It seems like that would be no problem just want to make sure.

    Oh, man.

I would avoid these like the plague. If you read the reviews on Amazon, and the troubles people have had here with them (like me), you'll think twice. There aren't a lot of good options for a compact subwoofer. Blaupunkt made one but they were (and are) expensive if you can find them. But the BOSS units are like a crap shoot.

I've had two die - power supplies - the company warranty requires you send a $15 check for service (and they're only serviced in Oxnard, CA) PLUS you pay for shipping there (cost me $30). I've played email and phone tag with them for days before, and am doing this again because they sent the unit back to me without the control cable/volume control unit.

The Boss 800 reviews seem a little better (on Amazon), but do a google search, their reputation and quality aren't that good.

I have the 1200 and it has been going strong for about 3 months now. I love that little thing.

I got the measurements for the 1500 and it's going to fit under my seat. That is on my order list for sure!

Mounted the basslink between the two rear seats. It's mounted sideways so I can still use the seats. Made a nice clean install.
