My harness was tucked way up in there, so I gave up and did the light disable instead. Really, that all I cared about was removing the annoying light in the dash, could care less if it uses a little bit of power to the controller. If you need what little bit of power the controller consumes, you need more than this mod.

Okay so I decided to try muting the light because that's all I wanted. Well the Toyota Nation guide had broken photos so I used this guide as the reference and it didn't work in my 2015. The light constantly blinks now even when reconnecting the two wires with a male female plug. Guess it's back to the old true muting by ripping out the dash and removing the LED... Just wanted to give you all a heads up for you newer trucks out there... Honestly vehicles shouldn't even have a tpms system if our country hadn't raise a bunch of friggen morons. Yup a little pissed it didn't work. But more so that I even have to do this stupid mod with aftermarket rims...

Anyone with a 2015 (or 2012+ I'm assuming) able to get their TPMS light off?

Still no luck with mine. I talked to another member who showed me a completely different wire that he used a nice thick solid yellow wire. I haven't tried it though my plan is still to take out the dash and remove the led.

I just disabled my 2015 TPMS starting from the second part in this thread - basically the part that shows the passenger side. I also tapped the blue wire into the 5 volt source.

    So far no TPMS light.

    Testing the connection:

Yes, V6. Did you do blue wire to blue wire like my first picture shows? If so, what kind of connector did you use? I HATE t-taps like I used but coincidentally I had two laying on my bench so I decided to give it a shot.

No I was just attempting to mute the light by grounding the wire tucked behind everything but it did nothing for me. So I'm going to give it a go again later this spring, if it doesn't work I'll try hotels method if that doesn't work I'll rip out the gauges a take the LED out. (Yea that's a lot of work but I have a lot of hate for this TPMS system too)

Oh, that's the problem right there. Older ones you ground, newer ones you tap into a 5 volt source like my first picture shows.

That is correct. The plug on the far right is a little tight to get to, luckily I have small hands, but just yank on it as much as you can to slice the tape

What a pain in the mother fcking dick! But it's off (for now). Thank you so much for your advice. Really wish I would have known it needed power and not to be grounded cutting the wire is what screwed me the most! Anyone looking to mute the TPMS light on a 15 follow his post it works and would have been so simple if I had not cut the damn wire the first attempt. Thank you again!
