had a KelTec p3at and sold that to my brother when times got tight, then when times got loose I bought a Diamondback 380 and wrapped it in a highnoon tuckable leather holster. The Diamondback looks like a 'mini glock' and is nicnamed so, about the size of the KelTec but with a little longer handle, my pinky doesn't fall off this one. The holster lets me tuck my shirts in at work and still carry, highnoon holsters are totally worth a look. My buddy owns a gun shop and has ran his holster for nine years with zero problems.

I currently own an LCP and a PF9, and have owned a BG380

I traded an LCP for a BG...and then back to an LCP

I carry the PF9 more than anything else in a cheap blackhawk IWB holster

I dont notice it, or have any problems hiding it

It goes bang when I pull the trigger and it hits what I'm aiming at...it's far more comfortable to shoot than the LCP or BG...but they have their place too...summer time when I'm in basketball shorts or board shorts...the LCP fits the bill perfectly

I'm of the opinion that one should not limit themselves to 1 carry option but rather have an option for any outfit, and any situation

I have several guns, compact, subcompact, single and double stack, revolver and semi-auto...and they all have their place...

There is not one perfect one size fits all firearm, but a PF9 with a little fluff and buff or similar is close to it

Thanks for all the info, my list just got a little longer. I have a few friends with some of these and then off to the range to see if they have any of the others to try.

I am most comfortable shooting this:

but it is a little long and heavy for CC but might try a compact .45

I carry a S&W Bodyguard 380 ACP. It's nice & small, has been very reliable, easy to shoot. I think its a nice size for the caliber. People who shoot it for the first time (including myself) say it stings the finger. You get used to it....
I could easily shoot 100+ rounds without any ill effects.

My husband carries a Kahr PM9. For the size and the caliber, it kicks and not something you wanna shoot for 100's of rounds at a time with.

Two other pistols we have that have been extremely impressive to us.... just bigger in overall size if you're willing to carry a bigger gun.... Is the S&W M&P 9C (9mm) and the Springfield Range Officer (1911).

If you really want to conceal carry that I recommend a shoulder holster and a jacket... and a good masseuse because you're going to throw your back out trying to carry that thing every day.

    Second!!!

lI like it now. It had a problem when new. The slide wouldn't go back far enough to manually extract an unfired round in the tube.

I sent it back to Taurus and they returned it within two weeks all fixed and runs great now. They paid shipping both ways.

I carry it with the Hornady Critical Defense rounds, with the FTX bullet. I think the .380 is the least caliber I would carry for personal protection. It will do the job in close proximity that I would expect to encounter.

I shot competitive IPSC for years and still have a few of the tricked-out big-bore race guns. For that style of aggressive shoot/no shoot engagements they are the best out there. BUT the .380 is a CARRY gun. I'm not going to be using it to go looking for trouble or alley sweeping. It is a gun that is easy to carry and not such an encumbrance that I'll leave it at home because it's a nuisance to pack. I found I was doing that with the Glock, 1911's, J Frame .38, etc.

The only time I'm uncomfortable is the occasional motorcycle rides to Canada for rallies. They are really anal about private citizens carrying. I'm not really comfortable with a government that denies its law-abiding citizens the right to defend themselves.

The .25's and .32's are cute but if you ever shoot anyone with one...and they find out about it...they're gonna be pissed.

I just got a Glock 19 9mm to CC. You say that it's more of a nuisance?

Of course not, I'm just saying it's more of a nuisance FOR ME.
I'm not going to get into a pissin' contest about which is the better gun.

For any given gun they have their advantages from one situation to another.
To me the .380 is a compromise filling the most situations I'll probably be exposed to out on the street.

A selective fire Glock 17 would be even better in some situations. I'm just going with PROBABILITY, convenience and comfort.

    Simply, if you don't like a .380...don't carry a .380.
