What are some secrets for carrying in the summer? I like to carry an XD subcompact 40, but it is a little hard to carry with just t-shirts covering. I would like to keep teh OWB holster. Maybe best to get a smaller gun for the summer months.

As mentioned. Smaller gun, larger shirt. I carry a G26 in the summer, and just go up 1 size in shirts.

Been thinkin about trying to trade my Taurus .40 with someone for a smaller carry. Maybe a .380 or smaller 9mm. Can't carry mine too easy with shorts and a t-shirt.

That Clipdraw is exactly what I need. Looks like they have a universal fit for my Taurus. Thanks for the info.

IWB holsters for concealment! There is no OWB holster that I know of that can come close.

In the summer I switch from my G19 to my S&W 442. I use a desantis OWB holster and a button up short sleeve shirt. I can use a t-shirt, but I am a big guy and the button up fits a little looser and breaks the printing better. IWB is the best, but they are not comfortable on me.

I carry 24/7. I don't have a problem in the cooler months when I am wearing heavy clothes or jackets. But in the summer, I either carry a S&W 640 or a Glock 30SF in either a IWB holster or in a pocket holster when wearing long pants. I have been using Thunderware holsters for my carry guns for over 12 years now when I am wearing shorts. You wear it under your shorts and I can easily conceal my full sized Glock 21SF and not have to wear a shirt at all.
