I started an "old concert shirts only" thread a while back, got a few hits on it. I dropped these in, some of the very few that survived.

I used to work in a record shop in the 80's, got a few odds-and-ends things back then with album promos. Somewhere I still have a yellow Nuclear Assault Biohazard Rain Poncho, have to dig that out for the funs...

... and Metalocalypse is awesome! We watch that all the time!

Found these too while rummaging around for other things - a few pins from the 80's (seemed like a thing back then...)

Good thread. I've got a small Shirt -1.jpg collection, - that my girlfriend is always bugging me to get rid of. Here is a very rare shirt: Van Halen, late '77, The Whiskey A Go Go, Sunset strip, Hollywood CA, I was going to put it on eBay at one time. I'll post others.

Nice! Early VH = out of control goodness

Do NOT get rid of your oldies. It's not like they're taking up a shipping container size room (or are they? lol) I miss many of the little things like this from my younger days, they make us who we are. Much gets trashed or traded along the way, and you wish you had it back.

Plus, make the GF watch Antiques Roadshow and see what some of the legit crap on there sells for - tell her your old stuff is retirement investment!

I haven't bought a shirt at a concert in probably 20+++ years now??

Iron Maiden Piece Of Mind tour was my first ever concert (July 1983, Long Beach Arena, CA with Fastway and Saxon). I bought a shirt from that show.

That I can remember, I bought t-shirts from: Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Ozzy, Deep Purple, REO Speedwagon, Scorpions, Rush..... all from concerts in the 80's or early 90's. That Maiden shirt from '83 was like $15. Last concert I went to, about a year ago, shirts are now >$50!

Good way to start off your "career"! That was peak Maiden era for me, first album up to like Powerslave, then trailed off my liking.

Speaking of Fastway, I've been on a Flogging Molly kick for a while (the singer from old 80's Fastway...) Good fun music to rock back with. Everybody good be gettin' old.....

Power Slave and Somewhere in Time are my two favorites, Book of Souls (2015) was pretty damn good, too. I also saw Maiden on their World Slavery Tour at Long Beach Arena, one of the nights the recorded "Live After Death". Twisted Sister opened for them that night.

Nile, if you haven't seen them, they will rattle the fillings out of your teeth. Misfits reunion tour. Not sure they were really playing if you've seen Jerry play a guitar.

Drifting in and out of being a want-to-be Egyptologist since a kid, I of course found Nile along the way. Never saw live. Have some of their earlier albums though and yeah...

Problem with that last thing is, at least here..mine sees stuff and asks how much my stuff is worth. Ummmm..errrrrr..

Badadd. I have the NJ 2018 and NYC 2019 shirts from the Misfits. Couple of Danzigs too.

I rarely buy concert shirts anymore, 40-50 is insane and I have over a hundred T shirts between music and darts (mostly).
