My ticking is the drivers side only and varies w/ rpm... :( Read somewheres on here that it may be the pcv valve and that throwin an o-ring on it to isolate it from the motor can help... figure ill give it a go at somepoint. For now I keep the radio up above 35 and I cant hear it.

Most people don't notice that ticking sound but I do. You will only probably hear it while idling and expecially if your against an object and it echos. I've had someone tell me I should get that ticking looked at when he walked by. Pittman is right there's a post somewhere where under your hood you just unbold a sensor throw on a O-ring and that helps quiet it down.

Okay, I think I know which tick you're talking about. I have it, its really quiet though, and I only hear it at an idle when the radio is off. Always had it so never thought otherwise about it. Usually when I hear ticks I think lifters, but its definitely not loud enough for that. PCV would be an easy fix?

    Not enough
    05 v6 taco.... 50k miles

Ticking is getting worst. It is coming from the Injectors so the dealer says......OR it is from the lifters or what ever area from the top of both heads.....

If it is injectors would it be getting worst?

Can the lifters or what ever are on top of the heads nowadays be adjusted....shims ????

If I change the oil she quiets down noticeably.....

Just turn that sub up a bit and wait 5 years. You hearing will be shot and you won't notice it at all! As a matter of fact, you won't ever have to worry about the quality of your speakers or ear buds for that matter. Hope this helped.

Me? I burned out my hearing with guns, 2 stroke motor cycles and endless nights of sleeping with sealed headphones listening to an 8 track tape of Jimmy Hendrix or Pink Floyd.
