I am seriously considering buying a camper shell. Primarily want it to keep cargo, like son's baseball gear, and vacation luggage etc. dry. Anyone regret buying one? Anything I may not have thought of? Local custom shop that I have dealt with in the past sells ARE.

Do your wallet a favor, and try to find a good used one on craigslist in your area. I got mine for 500, but had to drive 5 hrs one way to get it. I highly recommend windoors, a front window that pops out for cleaning purposes, and a high top if you plan on building a platform and sleeping in it. the shell is one of the best things I've bought for the truck, no regrets whatsoever for the price I paid. If I was buying new and spending big $ I would've gotten exactly what I wanted
