Hello everyone of TW hopefully you are all having a wonderful day.

So I currently own a 4.0 2013 Tacoma and ive had now almost two years and put many miles on it and the stock N/A powertrain although good, I would like a little bit more out of it. At the moment I have basic bolt-ons + tune and it feels only slightly quicker.

Last time I checked on a stock unmodified truck the supercharger brings you up to 305HP and 335 torque which would be a noticeable upgrade vs what I have now. How safe and reliable is just putting the supercharger on a stock truck going to be. At the moment I have 98k miles and the truck is taken care of very well and the owner before me took care of it.

And if I wanted to push around 350ish HP what all would I need to achieve that without turning the truck into a money pit. Which I know going away from N/A is going to open the door for new potential issues and you have to maintain the supercharger but thats cool.

    Thank you for reading. :)

All you need to know is in the linked thread, it is a great resource. No engine internal mods are needed. A smaller supercharger pulley, fuel pump upgrade and a quality performance real cold air intake will net significant gains over the stock SC setup. I ran a 2.6” pulley on mine with an AFE intake and 255lph pump upgrade and the results were night and day vs the stock SC. Post your questions in the linked thread and the guys can help you get exactly what you are looking for.

Alright Ill do that thank you for the info. Like I said mid 300s for me should be plenty of fun plus good old supercharger whine.

Buy once.. Edit: 40 years ago I’d say no. Today you could do it. Swiss cheese the body to save weight.. I remember my neighbor taking a hole saw all over the body of his 67 Camaro rs ss. He still owns the car, today (45 years later)
