    1st pic is Truck.
    2nd pic is maintenance needed.

    Good or bad price?

With that much rust everywhere I'd be really worried about the frame, and the parts I see in the pics look really bad....I'd pass

Have you checked on prices to replace all of those things on the list? Does it equal hall the price of the truck ($3000.00) if so I would keep looking maybe, unless you can get that price of the truck down to like $4000.00.

Of all the rust buckets I've seen, I've never seen the rear diff leak from rust. I can only imagine the frame is shot. Keep looking unless you like nightmares.

    Pretty much stock right now
Doesn't look like it was undercoated, so probably no frame extended warranty. Also, '03 (those which met the extended frame warranty conditions) are starting to age out of warranty. Check the Toyota service records.

Rear axels run several hundred bucks. I was looking for a salvage one with an e-locker for my '03 and they were near $1k. But I'd be more concerned about the Frame.

Got to consider the rust and repair costs on this one.

Yeah I would keep looking. I paid 5200 for mine with less miles and zero rust! Have I mentioned that I love living in the south?

ETA Mine is only 2wd but still that has way too much rust.

Body looks ok, but underneath would have me going the other direction unless maybe half asking price is all they wanted. Right off the bat there is easily 2k worth work and it'll easily rise as ya dig in.

if the rear diff rusted through, imagine the frame...

$6k for a rusty truck like this? No way. That's way too much. The seller (dealer?) just wants to make quick cash with it or he's unaware of the rust issues these trucks have

If you're still interested, the only way to tell if the frame is good is to hit it with a hammer. If it is good, talk him down a lot (a few grands at least), considering how rusty it is and the repairs it needs

Nope, but the crazy this is I tried at one time to sell my stock 2004 SR5 V6 extra cab for $7k with zero frame, skid plates or axle housing rust and not a single call.

Holy cow dude, the differential cover rusted through? The undercarriage on that truck would scare me away for sure. When I was shopping for mine I checked out one at a local lot that also had a deceptively clean-looking body, but had holes in the skidplates, crusty axles - basically it looked like the frame had been dipped in a brine bath - but then the shop had obviously sprayed some type of undercoating over the rust. The guy kept bragging to me about how the truck was undercoated. I RAN away from that one. I'd be patient and try to find a truck from a salt-free western state. They're out there. After fighting a losing battle with rust on my '96 4runner there's no way in hell I'd start out with something that rusty.
