I have a 2003 sr5 tacoma and recently when you hit any bump or slight dip in the road there is rattling noise that sounds like a dragging chain on the road or coins vibrating. I have found that it has also increased over time and is coming from under the cab. Any solutions?

Hey 764- the only thing I can offer is you're there and have the advantage of climbing under the truck and just poke around at stuff that would obviously make that noise with that particular characteristic. Running board mounts, exhaust shields (HOT) shackle mounts (leafsprings) stuff like that. Take some time. Hope you locate it-let us know:)

That is EXACTILLY what I would do! Use gloves and, if you have one, a rubber mallet. I did this on my 2000 when I heard a rattle, and sure enough, the heat sheild was hitting the exhaust. Gave it a quick bend and never heard from it again. :)

If your truck is running roughly, too. It could be your catalytic converter is going or shot. that's what it sounded like when I had a different make truck and my converter went out.
