Gotta agree. Previously would not have thought about any other make, but now being way more open minded about other brands as I currently shop around. 2009 Tacoma has had too many problems to be happy with and many the dealer could not fix waiting for the warranty to run out.

Takes literally three minutes. Find someone under 30 and they will do it in a snap. Funny thing is when I bought mine we were like yeah we got it no worries and he insisted that he lined our phones while we were there.

Jeff, That's just a rude, insensitive and arrogant reply typical of the stereotypical "millennial" generation. As someone over 30 and a software engineer for 15 years, Entune setup isn't a snap.

Sure, getting Entune to connect and use Pandora, Slacker, iHeartRadio, etc. takes 30 seconds but Entune's Message sync sucks if you have an iPhone (and apparently some Androids). If it worked the way it should, there wouldn't be a 7 page long thread in the 3rd Gen Forums called Blue Tooth Messaging>

You shouldn't have to change any settings on the iPhone to connect but you do. To me that is a software engineering defect - the Entune engineers didn't do enough SQA with iPhones in different configurations. Period.

I'll be 59 this year and had no problems connecting to both my wife's and my IPhones, I get all my messages through iMessage with no problem, although it does have problems pronouncing Hawaiian words. I know that I may be the exception to Entune issues, just wanted to let others know that it is not all horror stories.

I apologize, I didn't meant any insult by it. I was just saying that people under the age of about 30 have grown up around electronics and are in general very familiar with them.

Whom ever in this tread said Entune sucks was putting it mildly IMHO. Why is that Toyota can't write firmware that makes it a snap to link up and use all the messaging features with the iPhone is beyond me but they sure don't play well. I even wrote Toyota about it and received the lamest of excuses from them in return. Also the audio from the head unit is shall we say less then ideal. I don't know what the audio is like if you spent the extra for JBL speaker system but for a so called "premium" package I purchase its a total waste of money and a rip off. I also have had the head unit totally lock up on me twice and had to stop shut my motor off and restart to get the system to boot up. I hope that is not a preview of joys to come other wise I'll be out shopping for a new HU and throwing Entune unit in the trash!

Hey other wise the truck is great so far! :D

One issue that turned into two. My crankshaft position sensor went bad at 5K miles (4 months) leaving my wife stranded. Towed it to the dealer. One week later it has a new sensor. Drove it 4 miles and turns out that made the catalytic converter go bad also. Took another week to get that part in. They must have used cheap sensors at the factory or something. It drives nice now (knock on wood). I find the truck very quiet. Shifts smoothly. I use the ECT a lot though. The seats are perfectly comfortable. I'm 5' 9" and it fits me perfect. Only complaint is the heater/fan knobs. I cannot tell/see what they are set at. The indicator light is hard to see when it's past 12 o'clock position. They just designed them terribly! Minor gripe but still my two cents.

If this guy thinks the Tacoma seats are uncomfortable he clearly hasn't sat in the Colorado. I've also seen a couple of complaints now about lifting the tailgate. All I can say to that is get your candy asses in the gym if you think the tailgate is that heavy. I didn't find it the least bit difficult to lift.

Dents in roof from poorly loaded canoe. Broken side mirror from blown transfer truck tire. Scuffed up front bumper from thinking I was still in a corolla. Graham cracker embedded upholstery from a crazy kid.
Young people are familiar with using new popular apps, but if anything, they've become less familiar with how most devices actually work. When I was a kid you could take radios and TVs apart and fix them and it was more than just switching a board out. Now everything is integrated, disposable, and idiot proofed.

You can't try and lecture someone about making broad assumptions about a generation and then turn around and insult another whole generation with your own broad statement.

As you said, that's just rude, insensitive and arrogant.

Jeff, I owe (and others who missed the intent) you an apology. I thought the inclusion of the phrase 'typical of the "millennial" generation' would make my sarcasm and my similar over-generaliation more obvious.

I used to teach high school and know all about how quickly 'younger folks' pick up tech but even they would have trouble with the crap Toyota is trying to pass as an entertainment package.
