    Hi all,
I just picked up my 2017 SR5 DCLB. So, we have 6 people in the family (2 kids and 4 adults). Is there an easy way to convert the middle console to an additional seat so that the truck will fit 6? We're Asian so we're small. Only the driver is 5'11" :)

    Thanks

    Is there a seatbelt there?

There's no easy way, but it'll require ingenuity. Had there been a regular cab configuration like the 1st and 2nd gens a front row 60/40 bench split could be worked into there.

That's going to be a tight squeeze. 4 people is bad enough.

    legally probably not.
    You won't have a seatbelt.
you have the shifter and cup holders there too.
You'd be removing the front bucket seats and be putting in a full bench like the back. In the process probably have to relocate stuff.
    Maybe you should've bought a 4Runner lol.

Use that long bed and put em in the back. Not sure why you would even be looking at a vehicle without adequate seating in the first place, let alone buy one. :notsure:

Not sure. I prefer room to move. Not 3 or 4 people wide per row

    agree with you there haha.
just checked online yes 4runner here has 2 front 3 bench in the back and an additional 2 seats in the far back.
Maybe a minivan if land cruiser or sequina is too much? lol

if you can find a way to get rid of the console and shifter....and if you're also okay with the middle person dying in a car crash.

Don't do it. Should have bought an adequate vehicle for your needs

Even if you add bench, that would be super tight. My family is two adults and three kids and we are shorties and still it was so tight. Went to Tundra family:thumbsup:

Why would you buy this truck if you needed a 6 seat spot? That's just smart thinking right from the start. Is this a Asian thing. Hope you don't drive it like the ones here in my town.

ya I read sequina, just looked reread it and realized you said sienna.

My sister thought of getting the 4runner but her and her husband ended up going with a minivan instead. Just works better for when you have two kids both in car seats. Things take up so much room.

We have a 2010 7 seats highlander as well with only 45k miles. Bought a truck because I wanted a truck and not that I needed a truck :)

I prefer to take the truck to camping/fishing instead. Hint: I asked for idea/advise.

    Thanks for your response.

You may try finding a written off 2nd gen regular cab and pulling out the bench seat and try and see if that works for you.
