Well I just spent $500 on two pretty big things. All local to me and damn good deals, will post up pics when I can. Once my damn leg heals I'll have a bunch of stuff to install :D

May even get a Factor 55 for one of them @Star-Lord :spy:

YES, yes you did! I would be so happy to find a deal like that. Been looking on craigslist for a few months now with nothing near that good.

Winch with synthetic line and the hook. I won't be changing it, the hook will suffice along with the recovery gear to go with it

I don't know how I feel about the VR series yet. I'm still curious to how my M8000 will hold up with my pig :anonymous: If I regret getting an M8000, then I'll go straight to a Zeon 10-S :stirthepot:

Neither am I, but for $400 for basically a brand new winch locally, I'm saying why not. My buddy has used his winch 3 times total and one was to spool it up the first time. Down the road I may go for a 10,000# winch but for now I think it'll work

The winch will work with you. It's a matter if it'll work for me. I'm about 5500 loaded :anonymous: You're probably a good 1000 less then me.

I would steer clear of Smitty. Price may be appealing, but I know someone who basically has the winch for 2 years and then it just started to fall apart. Rope was slowly disintegrating and the winch was seemingly losing power. Buy once, cry one. Go Warn.

That's how I've felt but have also heard if you replace the gear oil with good oil almost every winch is about equal. But I've always been set on Warn or Come-Up

They do come with a mechanical lifetime warranty and 5 year electrical warranty. I think with the proper care you can make anything last. Warn has the brand to back them up no denying that, but doesnt mean they wont fail if you beat it to hell and mistreat it. Im still up in the air about what I am going to get. Going to save until black friday and see what deals are there.

My M8000 has done me well, I've only used it to pull other trucks and one was a built 2nd Gen with log bed (heavy mofo) out of some deep mud and it did great!
