I want both tbh ha, but currently don't have storage for one or the other.

So do I, the truck came with one when I bought it but needed to sell because I needed tires bad.

One thing I will note that with the RTT up that high it will be a little sketchy on some off camber spots. I just thought of that so that may be a deal breaker...

New plan! Once I can get into a house I will start looking for a shell and just have both. Shell during the summer months and RTT and rack during winter/early spring.

Heck, you can even store your ground tent or hammock in the shell when not in use. Even better, you can sleep in your camper like I do.

    Damn, I'm a genius.

Weight of the camper and the RTT would be high IMO.

I'd sleep in the camper, maybe even make a cot or something like a few CO guys have done.

I thought of that after you posted it, weight doesn't bother me as of right now, but the height for off-roading is what killed the shell with RTT idea. But I still want a shell just without the RTT

I've got 2 of those so I'll probably use them for a while. But again it won't be happening for at least another year.

Ha I have some of that too :spy:

Just the camper it's self being 200lbs is a slight issue for me. I've thought about maybe having a camper during the winter, but then I have no idea where the camper would go when I'm not using it.

I've also been thinking about building a trailer :spy:

I think that's gonna be my next move too..

leave the truck how it sits now and go full retard on a trailer build.. keep the truck as light and simple as possible, nothing in the bed. No bed bars or RTT so I can use it as a truck more, and have the trailer ready to go all the time.

At first I was against a trailer but as I move more and more into wanting LT for when I move out west, the trailer has been a better idea. But it won't happen until I get out there. Kind of stupid to have in the south if you ask me. Not enough trails to justify it IMO

I keep feeling like the trailer movement is the next big thing that everyone is going to be doing. As much as I would love to build a trailer set up, I have on issue with building a trailer and that is I have no where to put it. So as much as I think about, I really doubt I won't build one until I move out of my parent's house. Whenever I move out and start making big boy money, I'll probably get the daily driver going and then actually work with getting new Relentless armor, 2+ LT, 35s and a trailer build going. I think if I did build a trailer right now, then I'd have to tow it everywhere which is something I will absolutely NOT do.

Yeah that's one reason why I'm holding out on stuff. Because when I actually have money what's it going to go to other than my truck and a DD? So once I get a few thing a right on my truck I'll stop and save a lot more

I'm on the same page. I'm very happy where the truck sits row now, only a few things I'd change out or upgrade too, but for the most part I just need to finish my skids and then save a boatload of money for repairs and future fun stuff.

The only thing I'm going to spend money on soon will be a RC since I've finally be convinced to get one :anonymous:

I bought an RC... havent touched it in months. lol

I just like the trailer idea for the fact that I can just hitch up and go.. that.. and it makes my truck more DD friendly.
