    Well if you're going over rocks, I'd say no. That inch will help a ton. Scraped my cross member a couple times while others in 285s never did

    I dont really plan on going over too many big rocks. Im also thinking the 265s might give me some mpg back if i swap back to my old rims

    Then go that route. You'll get a little bit back and won't have a need to regear after you add bumpers. Not something I'd do but it's your truck your wallet

    The 33x12.50s just seem to wide to clear stuff on the inside with only a 2.5" lift

    Just a bunch of plastic stuff on the inside and that's with no flex. I'm gonna flex it out sometime soon tho.

    Lift does not matter for clearing tires. It clears tires at ride height but the suspension still cycles the same way up and down. No matter what your going to have to cut and hammer things to fit your tires.

    The new one, D43XL would be a better option for you then. The D6XL is only good for 60lbs while the new D43XL supports 220lbs.
