    I just think that i would be happier with a smaller tire since it would give me some power back, mpg back, and some more space under my wheel wells.

    Off road capability. Bigger tires mean you can go over bigger obstacles. Also improves approach, departure and breakover angles. Smaller tires will negate what you have right now.
