    Alrighty, kids:

So there I am, doing a coolant flush on my 1996 3.4L Tacoma, and it's been a minute and the block is still muddy so I am having trouble finding my engine block drain. I take a look at my 2001 3.4L, and find it pretty instantly; I go back to the 1996, and I realize the issue. Something seems to be missing.

Allow me to reference the beautifully illustrated photo, as posted by galgenstrick in 2016:

    Now, here's mine:

Pretty much guaranteed that I'm just going to make a mess when flushing; however, I still want to know if anyone has either an idea of if something magical was happening at the factory on the day Thor was built, or if someone actually took the petcock off and never put it back on, if someone has a part number, or if I'm just way overdue on playing the lottery with some combination of numbers from his VIN.

    Your input is appreciated.

Embrace the mess. Use tinfoil to funnel it the best you can.
