Found a good deal on Compatible HOAT coolant.
If you got a local Pep Boys they have Beck/Arnley Red or Blue Asian for $8.41 a gallon right now. https://pepboys.com/beck-arnley-pink-extended-life-premium-antifreeze-coolant/product/1853571

If you don't have one close like me I just ordered 3 gallons off ebay for $9.99 gallon+5$ shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Beck-Arnle...mium-Antifreeze-Coolant-252-1502/182547227615 or
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Beck-Arnle...mium-Antifreeze-Coolant-252-1501/152526208186 if you want blue.
If you spend over 35$ shipping is free.
I had some ebay bucks to get rid of so I just got my 3 Gallons for 13$ after tax shipped:cool:

So what you're saying is I should drain it then just run distilled water in it a couple days?
    I have a strait 11mi 55mph shot to work.
Do that a couple days then do the 3point drain and then refill with 50/50 Asian.

I was going to try being a smartass and ask if you knew the coolant goes inside the hoses so you won't be able to see the colour, but then I remembered the overflow tank  Which should actually look pretty cool!

I need to do a flush as well which is why I came here in the first place
Trying to decide how much of the other stuff I should replace while I'm doing that.

Drained and filled 3 times today with distilled water.
Will run this 3rd fill of water for the next 3 or 4 days then drain and refill with the Beck/Arnley Blue Asian on Friday along with putting on the new blue silicone hoses and new OEM thermostat.

Well this sucks. Got the HPS hoses today but they don't look like the pictures IMO.
They look much darker blue with a purple tint.
The picture doesn't really due it justice how different it looks in person.

Started a return and ordered the Mishimoto hoses.
Hopefully these look more like their photo

Why would you replace a water pump if it's not broken? Just curious because I have never changed a water pump as routine maintenance, seems like if it aint broke dont mess with it?

I probably should have chosen my words more carefully. I probably should have said "if its needed" versus if "its due". The intention behind what I was saying was to be ready to replace the water pump when the OP is tackling this job.

Reason being is OPs truck is an '05 that he's only owned for 2 years. Maintenance history is unstated or unknown. My experiences with water pumps in general and on my own truck is that they are on borrowed time if theyve been in operation for 60k+ miles. The pump on my truckwas leaking a little bit when I R&Red the pulley and this was right around 60k miles. So therefore new Aisin pump went in.

I suggested to the OP about possibly replacing the water pump since he'll be elbow deep in this cooling overhaul and replacing the water pump at this time would only be an extra 5-10 minutes. Versus not replacing the pump and having to remove all those parts (fan, shroud, belt, etc) again down the road. For the DIY, its means more time spent......for the non DIY, it means more $ spent.

It's sort of like if you were to replace/upgrade your exhaust manifolds (headers). Just because the stock manifold was sealing correctly and didnt have any exhaust leaks.....theres no way in hell i would reuse the manifold gasket just because it was still working before removal. If i were to get an exhaust leak afterwards due to the old gasket, the work/time to correct that blunder would piss me off.

Hope I'm making sense... it is very objective.

Ahhh, but if you have Killer Glass in your hose, you can watch it circulate.
