    Should come with one...Flat, thick aluminum washer.

    I appreciate the response. I couldn't locate a diagram showing a washer.

    You could also use some of that copper-permeated wet sealer (can't recall its name but all auto stores carry it) on the threads. Comes in a small tube. That will seal it against water leaks.
