im looking to buy coolant for my dads 07 Tacoma but not willing to spend $25/gallon from the dealership, unless i have to. i did a search & saw that some people mentioned Xerex Asian but no reports of anybody actually using it... Anybody here using Xerex Asian, or should i just spend the extra money and get the Dealership coolant?

I went with the Toyota coolant. I got it on sale at my dealer for $20 a gallon. Lasts 100k.

Any coolant thats safe for aluminum engines should be fine.

It's a silicate-free phosphate HOAT, the same chemistry as OEM pink. Only comes in premixed though. Premixed coolants are quite the scam IMO

I guess in my opinion, I just went bought the Toyota brand because knew there wouldn't be any issues, so I didn't price it out, is it a huge price difference?

IMO, I would rather do it once and forget about it, than have an unforeseen issue down the road.

ya the price for dealership coolant is $25 and Zerex is $10. So i just figure if they're essentially the same, i'd go with the $10 Zerex.

ya i dont want to have to deal with future issues later also. but now im thinking if Zerex is 50/50, id have to buy 2. if i buy full strength from the dealership, i can make 2 gallons out of it. so really it would end up being the same price....

IMO "long life" coolant is over rated...rust, scaling, and other contaminates eventually make their way into the system regardless of how long the life of the coolant is. I change mine every 30k with standard Prestone.
