I removed the fan on my 1988 BMW 325ix, that thing was a rocket without the fan compared to with the fan.

BTW, Im not knocking your solution, I feel yours is better than the OEM solution. But I did want to put out the OEM solution for people who are in warranty still.

Beat me to it, I was like $h!t that is hot for a tranny. Mine peaked at around 210 pulling a car on a trailer up a hill in summer but only stayed there briefly.

Stop and go kills me. None of this is towing. Also the reason I've had two drain and fills already @53k

And Toyota ditches the auxiliary tranny cooler for 2020......

I assume the ones overheating have the auxiliary trans cooler? I wonder how high those temps will get without it.....

Be careful of making generic statements, the engine in my ‘17 F-550 does not use an electric-only fan :p

That said I know many (if not the majority) of light-duty SUV’s and cars use electric fans. I also know of people who have had fans fail and cause engine damage. The one I dealt with for a former co-worker was because the water temperature switch had failed and allowed the engine to overheat which ruined it.

My suggestion, add a status or a warning light to show if the circuit gets shorted or opened. That may save someone a major headache one day.

U got overheating issues .. ? This makes sense if your running a supercharger or turbo setup ..but for stock setup what is the point more useless crap to buy like the cold air intake .

i dont have that info as it is a trade secret held by the oem. but the 16in 500w PWM aftermarket is 2430. and this fan is rated for a 600+ hp motor

not when you free up free hp torue and mpg. your current setup steals all of that just spinning for no reason even if its not needed.

Will you be doing a before and after dyno run to back up those power claims?

not at this time. since the development truck is on 35in mt and 5.29s. and also dont have a dyno near here. think its an hour away at the closest. but i can refer you to the engine masters by motor trend where they test the loss. and it doesnt matter the motor since its all about power required to spin different fans.
