We're well into the 100's here so I'm interested where you end up. You did the AGM on the kdmax right?

Yeah for sure! Not looking forward to the heat but no stopping it! July and August will be the best test for this system .

This is the first real burden my system has experienced. I'm interested to see how it goes. I'm notoriously hard on my equipment

Thanks for the kind words, even though your totally off, and have little to no experience with electric conversions.

I've done dozen's of conversions over the last 30+ years. I know what works. Anyway you slice it, this kit is a total rip-off.

If your lazy or disabled and have money to burn, get this kit, as it looks like a well assembled option.

So now you think you know me and my experiences :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I've been doing this almost the same amount of time there bucko with a lot better and larger sample size than your 3 car version there or the dozens you claim.

Like I said prove what you claim which you haven't and can't which is why your ignorant comments like this and the cost analysis of what is being offered is about as ignorant as the fallacy of a higher power, which you keep presenting based on your not so professional shade tree 3 example sample size.

Actually the cooling fan and situation I'm putting together will end up costing more in parts than this kit and I've got to terminate everything and do all the fab work soooo........

I'll PM you the actual parts list and equipment it takes to make this exact kit and then come show us how it's such a rip off. Like I said before you cannot even source all the parts for less than what you want to spend.

Can you do it cheaper sure. Are there a ton of different products out there that you could pick and choose from and DIY it yep. Can you source all the EXACT SAME products used and make your own fan mounting brackets and cost less yep. Is the last part of that statement worth your time.........

Now go back to the what did I do to my 3rd gen fri ignorant post land and hang out there. Dont' knock a company for actually putting in the work and putting together an actual well done product and marketing it and making money from it. Especially since they are using products that they can stand behind with confidence.

You think you can do better I challenge you to do so. Show these guys up build a kit market it and sell it. Put your money where your mouth is.

Here's a simple solution for you shut your mouth stop knocking companies DOING something and making a buck and do it yourself.

How are people weatherproofing the VSFM module? Are people using the stock rad or upgrading to a different radiator (The CSF one, I assume)

Also, I see that people are using 80A fuses -- I assume the fan and VSFM are fused separately, yes?

Stock radiator for me, I just stuck the module in the engine bay near the master cylinder.

The power is from a wire soldered onto a 10amp fuse. I will be changing this to an add a fuse tap so that it can be changed out on the road if it does go.

i would also love to see him invest in a production level 3d printer, one capable of handling glass impregnated nylon, and engineering software.

ps benji, your tacoma it self is a rip off. it only costs toyota about 15k to make. you should make it yourself and not get ripped off.

    I wrote around $100. not $100.

There are plenty(at retail) If you went direct with a large order, most likely even less.

Good for you for making a fan solution, My claim is there no need for your product for $1k. when anyone can buy a $100.~$200. fan and with a few hours time have it working well. This one was an hour install, and worked. It worked perfectly for over 10 years.

    Fan-2.jpg

As you say, Toyota make big money on a Tacoma. The difference is I can't make a Toyota. I can install a fan for 1/5 of what your charging, and it will do a fine job of
    cooling my rig.

And your sad attempt to be condescending by spelling my name like the famous Dog, just shows me(and others) that your a very unprofessional.

Folks, do you really want to give your money to someone like this? I'll pass.

Hey Benji if you don't like whats happening here move on ... Opinions are like @ssholes every one has one and some stink more than others. I personally want this set up instead of some cobbled together half wit system. My truck is a daily driver that I drive around 250- 300 miles a day. Gee!! cobbled together? Or OEM validated? I'll take choice #2. Less chance of coming in on the hook.
    Have a good day Sir.

With this much flak, I must be over the target.

If I were making invalid points, no one would respond.

Once again, does anyone really want to deal with a guy that try's to intimidate other Tacoma brothers with name calling and insults?

Meh. If its as tested and OEM-quality as he says, then the price is warranted.

Was not impressed with the sellers 'communication skills'.

Eh, $1000 is probably high(as is most shit in this tacoma modding space) but I don't want to hack something together either. OP's product seems like a complete package that's been vetted out which is better than anything else I've seen here.

The amp draw is definitely not being given enough attention though. I personally won't be doing this mod until I get a high output alt.
