I saw one thread about Baja Designs cornering lights, but none about using the factory fogs as cornering lights.

The one thing I miss about the little Jeep Renegade we had is that at night, when making a sharp corner the fog light on the side we were turning to would light up and then turn back off when we straightened out.

Has anyone done this to their Tacoma? If so how did you do it?

    Thanks,

    : )B

It’s funny you mention this. @Puppypunter and I were exploring the electrical feasibility of making a wiring harness for add-on cornering lights. After talking with @crashnburn80 about light selection for this application, it became clear that SAE fog light pods would be a better choice than Baja’s wide cornering pattern due to the sharper horizontal cutoff.

OP, you would need an interface to the steering angle sensor
    upload_2021-4-4_15-45-40.jpg
    to activate an on/off circuit.
Something that could translate the Can-Bus info to angle activation/deactivation.

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions.

I really don't want to do any wiring modifications. I was hoping it would be something that could be programmed into the truck's computer somehow.

Ditch lights are not in this rig's future.
