Guess I'm one of the few who thinks the clean up is worth it. The key is finding the soupy stuff, not that sticky nasty crap.

I will go through muddy trail or strip if need be. A mud pit for the hell of it, nahhhh. I will stick to playing in the sand as I make my way to a fishing spot. :D

Can't argue with that. I haven't been fishing in 10 years. I need to fix that problem asap. PINS sounds like a plan. Now, if I can just get a hall pass from the warden.....

I know I'm a little late but I'm from Corpus Christi, spent almost all my life in Flour Bluff until I joined the army. I'll be back for the month of July to hit up the beach and enjoy the warm weather, sun, and a few cold beers!!

Super easy, just use some fishing line to get the badges off and just make sure the truck has been in the sun so the badges can heat up and pull off a lot easier.

Are there any good spots to fish from the shore? Don't have a boat and I'd like to head down there sometime for some fishing. Don't mind wadefishing either. I always see people lined up near the bridge that connects to the island. Is it any good there?

I don’t have a boat either. My brother has an extra kayak, so borrow his when we do kayak fish. You can fish off near the bridge. I have done wade and kayak fishing in that area. This where I went last time as well. You don’t need waders if you fish at this spot on map, but I would recommend wading boots. I just use Magellan one from Academy for $20. I will probably pick up some Foreverlast Ray Guard Reef boots, what my brother uses. Looked alot more heavy duty for $50.

Is that the area with the parking area or is it the one before it by the church? Looks fairly easy to get to. I'll have to try it out one day.
