so I’m biting the bullet and buying a (used) topper and scooped hood off the list of Craig.

But before I do, I’d like to know what all of your guys experience has been with the money you had to shell out to have them painted the color of your truck?

I’m wondering if it would be cheaper to just have the topper vinyl wrapped black or rhino lined if it ends up being $1000+

if you do both at the same time and there's no prep, I'd say $750

Recently went through the same line of questioning. Arguably not the most quality paint job, but the nearest MAACO quoted me at $400 "unless it's a giant topper". I'm sure no Taco shell will qualify as giant.

That isn’t bad. A $500 hood and a $800 topper brings the grand total to around $2000.

If this is true I’d be pleased

I got the $400 maaco toper paint a few years back and am still quite happy with it. The color was a perfect match and they did a great job.

Anybody want to post a photo of their painted shell? And/or how's it holding up after a few years?
