Costco in Winnipeg, Canada won't install Tires!!

Just wondering if anyone has has this problem?? I have an 08 Double Cab TRD Sport and stock tire size, like everyone knows are 265/65/17. I want to buy BF Goodrich A/T KO 265/70/17 which is no big deal but they well not install this size of tires due to the "Trucks Specs" as i was told!!! Sure I can buy and go elsewhere but wanted to go there as they have lifetime tire rotations and flat repair c/w the road hazard warranty......has anyone come across this before with this company? Cheers.........

 

I've heard this about Costco. I guess they will only install the stock size? Maybe try a different store?

 

i have heard this about other places to.its all about the leagality if you get into a wreck.they dont want you coming back and saying the wrong tires caused it.

 

yes costco wouldn't put an alternate tire size on my truck either here in vt.
When I had the tacoma, sears wouldn't either.
I found another shop.

 

the costco around here is the same way. their policy is that they won't install plus size tires, but some costco employees will do it for you. my brother got some bfg 265/70/17 installed on his 4runner, but they refused to mount them on the truck b/c of his spidertrax adapters. so he just dropped off the wheels and picked them back up and mounted them at home.

 

Yeah so I went to Costco and bought the tires which cost $1075.00 here in Canadian dollars and cents.....lol.....then went to KAL Tire and got them to install.....wow what a difference I must say!! Can't believe it took me this long to get new shoes.....got home and put the old Bridgestone Dueler's on Kijiji and were sold in less then an hour so all good!! Seeing I just paid out my lease this week I guess now the mods begin.....Cheers!!

 

yes even on costco online you can not price a certain tire size...only plug in your ride to find tires
