I didn't think you had anything. So, I searched. Doesn't look like much there. I found 2 people with leak issues and a bunch of other people talking about the shocks, despite not even having them. Didn't even bother to check if they were the 3rd gens or not. Who the fuck cares, it's 2 people.

If you can't provide more evidence than that, it sure looks like you're just parroting something you've read on here. There's going to be defects with any product, but I refuse to believe Bilstein is just belting out garbage.

Bout like your social skills I reckon.

I have now found 2 people that actually own them and they leaked, and a bunch of people that "know a guy" or "read somewhere", so unless you have some other number...sounds like standard issue TW circlejerking.

**EDIT - I have found 6 people - still not sure which ones actually have the 3rd gen 5100s. ooooOOOOOooooo scary.

Tell you what, if mine leak, I'll come here and bash 5100s all day.**

I have the third gen 5100's all around with dakars in the rear and 887's with 1/2" spacers up front. Mine don't leak. Also with stock brake lines that are nice and relaxed.

Exactly as it's named, an overload. Once your loaded down so much it will prevent, overload. As it sits resting with no load, it's more like a spacer. If the leaf pack is so bad that it's sitting on the overload, it should be completely replaced because at that point its a frowny face.

Would that be equivalent to a dakar?

Be proactive, use fluid film.. no but seriously, adding a 3 leaf aal with an overload would be equivalent to a dakar leaf pack. would it not?

I recommend energy suspension grease based on professional opinions of others and my own experience. It's not the same as a Dakar leaf pack but maybe some similar characteristics as far as supporting additional load

Suspension grease is ok. I live in a place where when it snows, the town hammers the salt to the road. Fluid film is one of only a couple products that stand up to the weather here in the northeast. That said its also a very good lubricant for leaf packs. Two birds with one stone man.
