2 questions (hope this isnt repetitious of other posts):

My pickup is the "base model" 4x4 taco. I have a set of Dick Cepeks LT265/75/r16 tires that I couldnt pass up for the deal I got. What wheel width is this going to require (i'm sticking with the stock 16" wheels size) and what is the recommended backspacing to avoid ALL rubbing when I put on my 3 inch lift?

Also, I have the option of buying some nice black powder coated FJ stock 17" wheels (not special edition wheels) that come with new tires for $600. Does anyone know if the stock FJ wheels would work on my Tacoma and not rub on the calipers? Again, this would all be after I put on a 3" lift. Thanks for the help.

7 - 8" wide wheel is fine with that tire size.
Backspacing needs to be between 4.25 and 5.75 to avoid caliper rubbing issues.
You won't have any problems with the FJ wheels on your truck.

would a 4" backspacing work ? I was told you could go as little as 3.5" and you would be okay, but your tire would be sticking quite a ways out there.
