To preface, I dont disagree with most of your remarks, and I think this thread is helpful.

But seriously, please dont use this kind of rhetoric. "If you dont xyz youre part of the problem/just as bad/an awful person/etc." Keep it data driven.

Lol damn petty and jealous. It’s not about liking joe rogan or not. It’s about the guest he had on that is extremely credible.

You should try expanding your knowledge and stop being so ignorant.

It is data driven. That's the point. They are taking data and making it easier for the general population to understand. This isn't whimsey.

If we respond accordingly (social distancing, self quarantining), we will look back at it will seem as we have overreacted.

If we don’t, things will have been worse than anyone expected.

Insinuating that people are part of a problem for not having the same priorities as you is hardly data driven. Im not getting into this, if you feel like everything you said is reasonable then carry on.

If you are not internet savvy, you are invited to not propagate your ignorance in this thread. This is not for debate. It is for legit awareness about urgency for everyone to act know by reducing spread to not overwhelm medical capacity. That is the tipping point.

    It is that simple.

If you do not understand the factual scientific information I posted in post #1, then you have no need to post in this thread.

Who vets who is credible? That's the issue. That's what this entire thread is about, accurate and vetted information.

I understand he's had some very credible people on who are experts in their fields, but he has also had some fucking reprehensible people on and a lot of people can't tell the difference between the two. I'm not going to speak on this further in respect to OP's wishes.

It is not my priority. It is a human priority. It is a medical priority. What is so hard to understand about that?

It's par for the course for humans when dealing with things they can't see. Ionizing radiation, germs, carbon monoxide, all get similar responses.

Alabama is beginning to shut down...just confirmed cases today and schools are closing and businesses too. Guess they’re being proactive, but wow we go from trying to win the March sadness tournament by being the last state to have a case, and now we are one of the tops in shutting things down.

Much higher. 80k people doesn't fit to any model that explains how pathogens spread. There was an article claiming the real number can be in the range of 600k people. I will post the article if I can find it.

Yep exactly. Same way people claiming vaccines are unnecessary since they dont get sick even without vaccination. Reality is they dont get sick because everyone around them is vaccinated and they benefit from their herd-immunity.
