Crap, I was taking down my rearview mirror and my elbow pressed against the screen and pop it was cracked. No touch screen features, they are done. Does anyone have as bad luck as me ? I attempt to fix one thing and cause another issue. Sorry for the rant, just need to vent. Does anyone know if they are repairable ? I'm pissed.

I've looked for a replacement for the touch panel in front of the screen because mine had a scratch. I couldn't find one. The best bet, I'm afraid, is going to be to find another radio to swap it with. I did this in mine, since it was the new Navigation unit I bought that had a screen scratch. I swapped the touch panels between the old Entune Plus and the new Entune Nav Unit. They were the same.

Adding an aftermarket radio and selling yours on ebay for parts may be your best bet, or get in on the Nav Units from FLTrucks for $450.

Thanks, SprtBkr. PM sent, doesn't seem like its a doit yourself kinda thing. Repair places want more money then it is to replace the unit.

    What did you actually crack?

Do yourself a favor and ditch that POS. Buy something aftermarket, I'm sure you'll be happier with it. I'm not a fan of mine, can you tell?

I think it just the surface glass touch screen. It still operates and displays normally, just no touch screen features(I have to use the steering wheel controls). I'm not a big fan of its features, but I did buy one from a member to replace it.

I recently went through this on my commuter Honda Accord...you have to find out who manufactures the unit and send it to them (not cheap). For example all of Honda head units are made by Alpine. I ultimately purchased a head unit out of a totaled Accord to replace my screen but only because my head unit operates the heat and there was no way I was going with out heat in NY in January for 3 weeks... And there is also a place called United Radio (Syracuse NY) that was highly recommended by dealerships and radio shops. Good luck op I feel your pain!

If it is any consolation I was backing my wife's Lexus out of the garage and broke the side view mirror.

I'm not going to tell you what it costs to replace a power mirror on a Lexus (at the dealer).

I'm just going to hang my head in shame, hand over my man card, and walk away quietly.

Thanks for cheering me up, guys. I went to my truck with a 32 dollar auto dimming rear view mirror, Pulling upper console to wire it, 3 minutes tops, taking down old mirror 1 minute, jacking with the trim piece to hide the wires coming down was giving me a problem. So a little persuasion and pressure and my elbow was resting on the screen. Crack !! I stepped out of my truck and lowered my head in disgust. That cheap ten minute mod just cost another 250 bucks. Cheers

The Entune plus and Entune Navigation in 2014-15 are made by Panasonic.

Ok if it's just a glass , you should be able to use the same size glass from some tablet or phone, unless this is the pressure one. (I don't have entune to tell you exactly) but glass for tablets is fairly cheap and worth of trying before shelling for new unit.

It's pressure sensitive. I saw replacements on eBay for the right size, but the cable in the wrong place, when I had mine apart to swap the touch screen glass.

I was just swapping them between 2 radios. My new navigation radio had a small scratch on the screen that was driving me nuts, so I swapped the screen with the old Entune plus before selling it.

@SprtBkr, How complicated was swapping the glass ? As I stated, with my luck, I might break the new unit glass swapping it out. Might just install the new unit and call it a day.

    So... $730 for the mirror assy + $200 labor? :D http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-catalog/870187C597-Electrical-GS460-2011.html

Interesting enough, the rear view mirror costs more than the side view mirror...

It was intricate. If you aren't good at taking things apart and getting them back together, just swap the whole unit instead.
