I wonder what they look for (other than I guess scrapes/dinged up armor)? Or what they consider 'off-roaded a lot'. I am not a rock crawler but I drive on forest roads. Curious how this turns out.

Im curious which dealer? The first one where the tech and rep both knew something was off, or the 2nd one Toyota sent you to with the corporate mechanic?

I have to say, that this is a case of "piss poor" design Or "weak crappy metal"....i really hate to see this type of issue on a modern day vehicle with all the "computer aided design programs".....i have a "23 trd mt" to arrive 9/15, the more i read, the less impressed i am with these trucks.....the last time i heard of a cracked frame near motors mounts were the chevy trucks4x4 late seventies, early eighties & that was caused from off road abuse and the remedy was "boxing in the frame rails near motor mounts"(of course one had to remove motor first)...
So, in this modern day of "computer aided everything & a dose of common sense" , i am Not impressed with Toyota...funny how One persons Cracked frame can discombobulate my entire thought process....just sayin.

Wow, i feel i was a bit harsh here....lets crack this up as "stuff happens"...
Maybe this is a one off situation----but of course Not caused by high torque, high horsepower motor....??
Lets call it "faulty metal" and leave it at that.....im xcited to know if Toyota is for sure gonna fix this?
And I wish the Best for you my friend....and good day.

FYI, it was the second dealer, the one Toyota had me take my truck to for them to come see. Bishop Ca.

We have seen plenty of these and there’s a reason that there are plenty of aftermarket mount options. I’m not sure what the point of this comment was.
